"In 1994, facing stress related health challenges of my own; I discovered the benefits of complementary therapies and how making a few lifestyle changes improved my well-being. The holistic approach revealed not only to look at diet, but to care for the mind and body using nature as the steering compass. Benefiting from different well-being and massage treatments led to a new passion for helping others to also benefit."
More about Melanie
In 1996-97 I trained at an ITEC registered school in Bournemouth, qualifying in A & P, Swedish Massage and Aromatherapy. Having built up a regular clientele over several years whilst regularly updating my knowledge I also created my own branded Aromatherapy products.
In 2007, a 6 year move to Vendee, France for the ‘Good Life’ and, again my love of massage work continued. More recently a return to UK and to the glorious Devon countryside and I began all over again!
More training beckoned after experiencing the amazing soothing properties of Hot Stone Massage.
Melanie went on to gain more experience and improve knowledge through many well-being courses to include, EFT, Counselling, Acupressure, Electro- Acupuncture, ‘M’ Technique Light Touch Therapy, Colour Therapy, Reiki and, in 2007, gained the VTCT certificate in Indian Head Massage at the Holistic Training Centre, Southampton. Massages offered include Swedish Massage, soothing Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, and the luxurious Hot Stone Therapy.
As the years roll by it becomes increasingly difficult to escape the stresses of modern day life. Stress can manifest in many ways both mentally and physically so draining our own body’s abilty to self-repair.
Massage is a proven, time honoured technique to ease tired joints and muscles, relax the mind and bring about a feeling of greater well-being. Each treatment is tailored to the needs of the client. Ideally regular sessions promote maximum benefit, e.g. once a month - although much is gained on the first treatment.
